From New Jersey Turnpike (North or South)
Take exit 15W to I-280 West to the Orange St. 6th St. exit. Make the
first right onto Orange Street and proceed one block to First Street.
Turn right and proceed abouthalf a mile to West Market Street, where
First St. becomes Bergen St. Proceed straight on Bergen St. across 12th
Ave.; bear left for self-parking in DOC garage (hourly rates - bring
ticket for validation. The main entrance to the DOC is on Bergen St.,
just beyond the parking garage.
From the Garden State Parkway (North or South)
Exit 145 to Interstate 280 (East and Newark), then follow directions
from 280 Eastbound. See below.
From Interstate 280 Eastbound
Bear left to the Newark and First St. exit. Right onto First St., which
becomes Bergen St. The DOC is about 1/4 mile from the exit at the corner
of Bergen St. and 12th Ave. Look for DOC parking garage on Bergen Street.
The main entrance to the DOC is on Bergen St., just beyond the building.
From New York City
Take George Washington Bridge or the Lincoln Tunnel to NJ Turnpike.

Mass Transit
PATH and Amtrak rail lines and New Jersey Transit buses and trains serve
Penn Station in downtown Newark, about a mile from the UMDNJ campus.
Taxi service is available to and from Penn Station and Newark International
Airport.
