We are pleased to invite you to take advantage of the following activities.
Perfect Minds in Perfect Bodies; the Ethics of Biomedical Enhancement Symposium Saturday, March 25th from 9:00 am - 5.30 pm at Rutgers University, Newark.
Basic Life Support (BLS), Saturday, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm or Sunday, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm Medical Sciences Building - Room B 617. This course is offered by the Basic Life Support Staff from the Community Training Center of The University Hospital on the following dates:
April 1st (Sat) OR April 30th (Sun)
Note: There is a $25 fee for registering, and a $55 fee for BLS certification.
Accessing Medical Information Library Tutorial, Saturday, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm or Sunday, 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm at the UMDNJ George F. Smith Library of the Health Sciences.

Cardio-pulmonary Physiology Lecture , 8:00 am - 9:45 am at the Medical Sciences Building - Room B 617. This course is offered by Mr. Michael Grabow, C(ASCP)SC, MS, MBA - Senior Administrator of The Office of the Dean for Public Medical Education. This course is offered on April 30th (Sun) ONLY.
In addition, there will be two tours of our pathology laboratories given by Professor and Vice Chairman Seena C. Aisner, M.D. and Professor Debra S. Heller, M.D. and Associate Administrative Director and Laboratory Serology section Supervisor Mr. Alton James, B.S., M(ASCP), faculty members from the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. Tours will take place from 4:00 - 5:45 pm on Wednesday, April 5th and Wednesday, April 26th. There will also be two tours of our Emergency/Trauma Center given by Hosseinali Shahidi, M.D., MPH, Assistant Professor and Vice Chief, Division of Emergency Services. Tours will take place at 4:00 - 5:45 pm on Wednesday, April 19th, and Wednesday, May 3rd . Sign-up sheets for the tours will be posted outside Room B 552 (Second-year Medical School Lecture Hall) on Wednesday, March 22nd ONLY. Finally, a Health Screening Clinic will be offered from 4:00 - 5:45 pm on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 29th. Matthew G. Marin, M.D., Professor of Medicine and Director of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine will serve as the Clinic Coordinator. Students will have the opportunity to be screened for hypertension (high blood pressure), weight, as well as having their blood tested, and their vision checked.
