LITERATURE SEARCH SERVICES

If you are a person who needs or wants the results of an expert literature search, the Information & Education librarians at the UMDNJ – George F. Smith Library of the Health Sciences can assist you.  Librarians will perform literature searches for UMDNJ faculty, students, and staff and for non-affiliated clients.  Fees for this service are listed below.  If royalty-based databases are searched, fees incurred will be higher and will be passed along to the requestor.

UMDNJ

Faculty, Staff, Alumni, Staff/Faculty at Affiliated Hospitals:
$6.00/search, including 25 citations; $2.00/each additional 25 citations

Students, Residents, Interns, Fellows:
$5.00/search, including 25 citations; $2.00/each additional 25 citations

Non-UMDNJ

Student w/valid college/university ID:
$20.00/search, including up to 100 citations

Non-Profit Organizations:
$25.00/search, including up to 100 citations

For-Profit Companies, Law Firms:
$40.00/search, including up to 100 citations

Individuals:
$25.00/search, including up to 100 citations

Current Awareness Service

This automatic service can provide you with a monthly listing of new citations in your field of interest.  A search strategy based upon your specifications is automatically run each month in the database(s) of your choice in order to retrieve all recently-added references.

The annual fee is $40.00.

Methods of Payment for Services

The Smith Library accepts cash, checks, or IDTs as form of payment.
