Application Process
- The UMDNJ
- New Jersey Medical School Residency Program in Internal Medicine
accepts applications only through the Electronic Residency Application
Service or ERAS.
- International
Medical Graduates must be U.S. citizens or have permanent residency
and have a valid ECFMG certificate including the CSA examination.
Recent graduates (<3 years) are preferred.
- Candidates
selected for interview will receive a letter of invitation for
interview.
- Interviews
are held between November through late January.
- The Interview
Day consists of meeting with program officials and current residents,
and a tour of the facility.
- Application
Deadline: December 31, 2005.
- Preliminary
Year: NRMP#1398140P0: Eight positions are available.
This program may be tailored to meet long-term goals. Preliminary
interns are not treated as second-class citizens in our program.
- Categorical
Program: NRMP#1398140C0: Twenty-five positions are
available in our three-year program. You will become a board eligible
humanistic Internist with the comprehensive knowledge base, the
clinical skills, and the technical expertise to practice general
medicine or begin subspecialty training.
- Internal
Medicine-Pediatrics: NRMP#1398700C0: Our four-year
combined program includes training in a family health teaching
practice site and special rotations in Neonatology, Geriatric
Medicine, and subspecialties in both medicine and pediatrics.
- All applicants
must receive a consumer report and/or investigative report (background
and fingerprinting) deemed favorable by UMDNJ prior to being hired.
