MEMORANDUM
The University Academic Information Technology Advisory Committee (AcITAC), which also serves as the IST Governance Education Services Committee, is pleased to announce the 2009 educational technology grant competition. This year’s program is being supported by the Foundation of UMDNJ. The grant program is designed to promote the use of technologies iin education in ways that can be demonstrated to enhance learning. The deadline for the program is September 18, 2009; the maximum amount an applicant can request is $20,000; all project principal investigators must be full-time UMDNJ faculty members. Instructions and forms can be downloaded from http://www.umdnj.edu/minigweb/guidelines.htm. Applicants are urged to read carefully all instructions in that section and the Process section at http://www.umdnj.edu/minigweb/process.htm and seek consultations as advised. They should also review the database of previously funded projects at http://mediacenter.umdnj.edu/minigrants/index.html. All grant requests must be submitted to Julia Bush in IST/Academic Systems & Technologies both electronically at bushjm@umdnj.edu and in print at IST/AST, NJDS room B725, UMDNJ Newark campus, no later than September 18, 2009. Grant applications will be reviewed by representatives of AcITAC, the UMDNJ Stuart D. Cook, M.D. Master Educators' Guild, the Department of Information Services & Technologies, and the Informatics Institute of UMDNJ.
