 Topic : Modify Problems

The problem list can be used by healthcare providers to gain a quick understanding of a patient's medical history. To ensure the highest quality of care, it is important to carefully maintain the problem list so that is most reflective of the patient's state of health. This list contains diagnosis codes (e.g. pleural effusion), procedure codes (e.g. status post coronary artery bypass graft), and miscellaneous codes (e.g. symptoms of stridor).

The modify problems button and resulting "Update Problems" screen enables users to change the problem list in these ways:

  • Add a problem
  • Assess the current status of a problem
  • Change a problem
  • Remove a problem
  • Undo changes made within the current update
  • Organize the problem list
