Our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) has been enhanced for
decision support and performance improvement. This web site
was create for our staff and students. Its sole purpose is
to stimulate thought. This site is not meant to replace nor
substitute in any way for the care of a physician or appropriate
expert.
On its most basic level, our system's goal is to increases
the efficiency of provider documentation through alteration
of form components based on past patient specific notations
and standards. On a higher level, the chart gives referenced
decision support about its own elements, patient specific
care issues and third party obligations(ie, Influenza,
Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension,
). At its highest level, the
system is being used as part of our performance improvement
activities.
As with all UMD Care forms, this is one form in a work flow.
Though this is the present version of our primary form, other
disease management forms act as an interactive dash board
on their respective issues.
