Eligibility
To be eligible for participation
in the program, provider applicants must be:

A resident of the State
of New Jersey
-
Free of judgements or
defaults on qualifying
education loans
-
Licensed to practice in
New Jersey AND have completed one of the following disciplines
within the past two years:
* Physicians-
An accredited residency in either internal medicine, general
pediatrics, family practice, obstetrics, gynecology
* Dentists-
Undergraduate dental and residency training, if such is required
in the primary care specialty, general dentistry or pedodontics
* Certified Nurse Practitioners- Post baccalaureate or
Masters degree programs accredited by the National League
of Nursing in a primary care specialty
* Certified Nurse Midwives- Programs accredited by the
American College of Nurse/Midwives or the American College of
Nurse Midwives Certification Council
* Primary Care Physician Assistants- A Committee on Allied
Health Education and Accreditation approved training program
for primary care physician assistants

Recommended to participate
in the loan redemption program by a program director and must
submit a letter of recommendation
Providers participating in
the federally administered National Health Service Corps Loan Redemption
Program are not eligible to participate simultaneously in the Primary
Care Loan Redemption Program of New Jersey.
