Three NJKI databases lost. -- Due to lack of state funding for NJKI, the New Jersey Knowledge Initiative, we can no longer provide access to three databases. These are the Biomedical Reference Collection, Nursing and Allied Health Collection, and Reference USA. Most of the journals in Biomedical Reference and Nursing and Allied Health can be found in the Academic Search Premier database.

Image Collections page renamed Multimedia Collections. -- The Image Collections page has been renamed 'Multimedia Collections' due to the growing number of video products. Check out the latest addition, DnaTube, a scientific video site encouraging scientists to upload videos of their studies, lectures and seminars. Current featured videos: Bacteriophage T4 ; Full VEGF & Angiogenesis Video ; Cancer Metastasis: CXCR4 ; Gene Expression Lodish et al ; 3D structute of mitochondrion.

LexisNexis Academic database is available again. -- UMDNJ University Libraries has a new subscription to LexisNexis Academic. LexisNexis Academic provides access to over 6,000 news, business, and legal sources. The news coverage includes deep backfiles and up-to-the-minute stories in national and regional newspapers, wire services, broadcast transcripts, international news, and non-English language sources.

Bates' Visual Guide to Physical Examination. -- To improve performance of the Bates' product, we have changed how the video is served through our network. UMDNJ University Libraries no longer subscribes to the eMedicine database. -- You may individually register for the free version. It contains a section of Tools, such as Case of the Week. It contains different content than the fee-based product which includes other items such as interactive algorithms, calculators, decision rules, diagrams, scores, and tables. Register for use of the free version of eMedicine on http://www.emedicine.com.
