Small Group Study Rooms

Where?

Six (6) small group study rooms are located on the CR (upper) Level of the Smith Library.

Who can use the small group study rooms?

Anyone with a valid UMDNJ I.D. can use the rooms.

Where can I get a key to a small group study room?

Keys to the small group study rooms are available at the Circulation Desk, which is located near the entrance to the Smith Library.

Can I reserve a small group study room?

No. The rooms are only available on a "first come basis".

What is the policy on use of the rooms by a single person, rather than a group?

A group study room is required to be used by two or more people.

Can I view audiovisuals in a small group study room?

Yes. You need to go to the media help desk for the use of media review rooms. You can check out the audiovisual materials from the Media Center and take them up to small group study room. Audiovisual equipment is available in that room. Additionally, there is a small group study room with AV equipment located in the Media Center.

What is the noise policy in the area around the small group study rooms? Can my group have discussions or is this a quiet area?

The small group study rooms are intended for those who want to study together and discuss course materials. For quiet study areas, users should go to the BR (lower) Level of the Smith Library.
