The 2005 issue of
the Hispanic Americans and Health bibliography series includes references to
over 1000 articles culled from searches of MEDLINE, CINAHL (nursing and allied
health), and PsycINFO. The bibliography includes articles added to the
databases from approximately August 2004 through July 2005. The bibliography is
divided into broad subject areas.
Nine additional
health topics, of high importance to those in the metropolitan area, were
researched and have been included in the bibliography. The period from
2002-forward is covered for the following additional topics: Alzheimer’s Disease; Asthma; Birth Defects;
Chronic Liver Disease and Cirrhosis; Pneumonia and Influenza; Pregnancy
Complications; Suicide; Trauma and Youth Violence; and Tuberculosis.
