The UMDNJ – George F. Smith Library of the Health Sciences is pleased to announce that both a Virtual Library Tour and the latest edition of The Smith Chronicles have been added to Smith Library Web site, http://www.umdnj.edu/librweb/newarklib/library.html. Both are designed to introduce you to the facilities of the Smith Library and to the wide range of information and educational services available in a variety of formats. The Smith Chronicles is our annual guide to the Library; it contains information about checking out materials and loan periods, electronic resources (books, journals, and databases), audiovisual materials, the Library’s wireless network and laptops available for use, our Special Collections Department, information and educational services, our Clinical Librarian program, and much more!
The Virtual Library Tour is developed to be easily accessible from all computer platforms. The program will run in a computer’s default Windows Media Player. The program is also available in DVD format. The Virtual Library Tour shows a photographic tour of the Smith Library; its accompanying narration gives you, the viewer, information about various services and landmarks within the building.
