| Users of PubMed have a quick way to limit their searches to citations with links to full-text articles. The UMDNJ – University Libraries have entered electronic full-text holdings into NLM’s LinkOut program. In both the Abstract and Citation views, a UMDNJ icon appears; when clicked, the full-text article is displayed.
Rather than browse a list of citations, searching for icons that denote links to full-text articles, users should AND the following as part of their search:
Loall [sb]
In other words, a user searching for all articles on diabetes and glucophage with links to full-text may type:
Diabetes mellitus AND metformin AND loall [sb]
It is also possible to retrieve all free full-text in PubMed by ANDing:
… AND free full text [sb]
and to generate a list of all full-text by ANDing:
… AND full text [sb]
