AM I ELIGIBLE TO USE ILL?
This service is available only to Faculty, staff, students and distance
education students of UMDNJ and its joint programs as well as, employees and
members of the Friends of the UMDNJ Libraries program.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE REQUESTED MATERIALS?
It depends on which libraries own the item you are requesting and how they
will deliver to us. Most libraries in our regions can fill request in one
–two business days. Please allow at least one week from date request is
submitted.
ARE THERE ANY LIMITS ON HOW MUCH I CAN REQUEST?
All primary users of the library may utilize the photocopy services. This
includes faculty, staff and students of UMDNJ and its joint programs as well
as, employees and members of the Friends of the UMDNJ Libraries program.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
In most instances, the Library can obtain articles free of charge throughout
the United States. However, this is not always the case. Journal
articles borrowed form other libraries average about $11.00 per article.
HOW DO I OBTAIN AN INTERLIBRARY LOAN REQUEST?
Paper forms are available at the Circulation Desk and Information Desk. An
electronic copy of the form may be found at http://www.umdnj.edu/neworklib/library.html.
HOW WILL I BE NOTIFIED WHEN MY BOOK OR ARTICLE IS RECEIVED?
You will be notified by phone or email.
CAN I HAVE ARTICLES SENT ELECTRONICALLY?
Articles will be made available to you electronically when possible. Indicate on the form your preference of delivery.
WHERE CAN I PICK UP AND RETURNED MY REQUESTED MATERIALS?
Books should be picked up and returned to the Interlibrary Loan Department. Articles can be picked up at the Circulation Desk.
CAN I CHECK THE STATUS OF MY REQUESTED MATERIALS?
Yes, to inquire about loan status, go to the Interlibrary Library Loan Department from 8 a.m. to 5p.m. Inquires may be made by telephone by calling Jamie Friday at 973-972-5319 .
HOW CAN I EXPEDITE THE PROCESS?
Provide complete, accurate information for the requested item. Provide accurate beeper, cellular phone, office phone, home phone numbers, mailing and email addresses.
