Sending a fax

Faxes may be sent from the Smith Library Circulation Desk, located on the main or Mezzanine Level. For more information, please call 973-972-8538 (x2-8538).

When?
The service is available during all library hours of operation, but is suspended fifteen (15) minutes before closing time. No faxes will be sent at that time.

Who?
Only users with a valid UMDNJ ID are eligible to use the fax service and must present their ID. Student users of the service must be currently enrolled in a UMDNJ course.

Charges?
$1.00 for each page, including cover or transmittal sheet. Cash, check, or IDIs are accepted as payment.

Payment?
Payment is due at time of transmittal.

What?
Only materials related to educational purposes may be faxed. The Library accepts no responsibility for damage to materials during the fax process, so it is suggested that delicate originals first be photocopied and the copies sent as a fax transmission. A fax confirmation will be presented as a confirmation of successful transmission; the Library can only guarantee that the fax was sent. To confirm that a fax was received, it is the responsibility of the user to contact the site for verification.
