| Database of Abstracts of Reviews of Effects [DARE] Part of Cochrane Library |
Complements the Cochrane Reviews by quality-assessing and summarising reviews which have not been carried out by the Cochrane Collaboration. The database covers a broad range of health and social care topics and can be used for answering questions about the effects of interventions, as well as for developing guidelines and policy making.

| Drug Information Portal | The Drug Information Portal from the National Library of Medicine gives the public, healthcare professionals, and researchers a gateway to current, accurate and understandable drug information from the National Library of Medicine and other key government agencies. More than 12,000 drug records are available for searching. The search interface is straightforward, requiring only a drug name as a search term, and successful searching is enhanced by the assistance of a spellchecker. | Emergency Medical Abstracts | Includes a database of citations to non-preappraised articles relevant to emergency medicine from about 600 journals. Abstracts for some articles are written by content and methods experts and appear in a separate database. | Entrez, The Life Sciences Search Engine | A great cross-database site, Entrez provides users with a way to search twenty (20) databases
simultaneously. Includes: Genome - The whole genomes of over 1000 viruses and over 100 microbes. Includes completely sequenced organisms and those for which sequencing is in progress. Nucleotide - A collection of sequences from several sources, including GenBank, RefSeq, and PDB. Protein - The protein entries have been compiled from a variety of sources, including SwissProt, PIR, PRF, PDB, and translations from annotated coding regions in GenBank and RefSeq. Structure - The Molecular Modeling Database (MMDB) contains 3D macromolecular structures, including proteins and polynucleotides. | OSTMED.DR® | OSTMED.DR® builds upon OSTMED®, a bibliographic index to the literature of osteopathic medicine. It is endorsed by the AOA and AACOM. The goal of the project is to promote and facilitate research and scholarly activity in the osteopathic profession by providing ready access to the current osteopathic literature and heretofore hard to find resources, including historical documents.
