High performance computing (HPC)

Background
Dr. Wolosh is the architectural lead for High Performance Computing (HPC) at UMDNJ. He is responsible for the design, implementation, and administration of the HPC resources at UMDNJ. Prior to joining UMDNJ, Dr. Wolosh was the Manager of Computing Resources for the College of Computing Sciences at New Jersey Institute of Technology. He was responsible for researching the external technological environment for new developments and adapting what is appropriate and relevant for integration into the College. He decides the network topology, the hardware and software configurations, and the computing environment that would support educational and research goals. Dr. Wolosh attracted over $30K in hardware from industrial sources.
Prior to joining NJIT, Dr. Wolosh was employed as product development chemist in several pharmaceutical companies. He worked at various levels from methods development chemist to laboratory supervisor to project leader.
