Large File Transfer Service (LiFT)

IST is implementing an appliance, operating outside of UMDNJ's e-mail environment to support the transfer of files of sizes ranging up to 2 gigabytes, between University researchers and their collaborators both internally and external to the UMDNJ environment.  The applicance is web-based, requires minimal administrative support, and is designed to integrate seamlessly to the University authentication infrastructure.

File Transfer Service

• The Large File Transfer Service (LiFT) is used for receiving and delivering large files.

• It does this by allowing internal or external users to upload and download files via https.

• The user interface requires no special training.
