Linda Morrison, LSW, has worked in the field of prevention for over a decade.
She is currently a program Development Specialist I for University Behavioral
HealthCare, Social Decision Making/Problem Solving Program, where she trains and
consults with teachers and school administrators in the SDM/PS curriculum. Ms.
Morrison spent 8 years as Director of Education and Prevention Services for the
Maui AIDS Foundation in Hawaii where she developed Think First, an AIDS
prevention/decision making curriculum designed for youth in schools. She was contracted
by the Hawaii State Department of health to train educators and implement Think
First throughout the 10 educational districts of the State. Additionally,
Ms. Morrison volunteered at Mediation Services of Maui where she was a peer mediation
trainer for school children and facilitated adult mediations. She has also worked
in the field of domestic violence, providing case management to victims, as well
as anger management groups for court-mandated batterers at the Family Peace Center
in Hawaii and the Resource Center for Women and Children in Somerset County, New
Jersey. Ms. Morrison received her BA in Human Relations in Organizations from
the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and her Masters in Social Work from Monmouth
University in New Jersey. She also works at a private practice in Somerville,
NJ, providing individual, couple and group therapy.
