Announces 2006-2007 Distinguished Lecture Series
Thought-leaders at the forefront of cancer research among the list of speakers

New Brunswick — As one of only 39 National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the nation and the only one in New Jersey, The Cancer Institute of New Jersey (CINJ) is a leader in cancer research, treatment and education. CINJ is dedicated to providing outstanding educational opportunities to learn about the latest in cancer research and treatment to the medical, scientific and general community.

The Annual CINJ Distinguished Lecture Series brings world-renown cancer experts to New Jersey to present their research and engage in discussion on the topic. Among this year’s list of speakers are: Dr. Derek Raghavan, M. Frank & Margaret Domiter Rudy Distinguished Chair & Director Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Center; Dr. Gregory Verdine, Harvard College Professor and Erving Professor of Chemistry, Harvard University; and Dr. Irving Weissman, Director, Stanford Institute for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine, Director, Comprehensive Cancer Center and Professor of Pathology and Developmental Biology, Department of Pathology, Stanford University School of Medicine.
