This thirty minute DVD and accompanying discussion and resource guide were developed for a wide range of health care providers and counselors working in settings that provide HIV testing. The goal of these materials is to: 

• Demonstrate counseling approaches for effectively and compassionately delivering results
• Emphasize the importance of providing culturally appropriate services and referrals
• Offer personal experiences and perspectives from a group of diverse clients who have received both positive and negative test results and from providers who have given results

The DVD offers personal experiences and perspectives from a diverse group of clients and providers, and demonstrates counseling approaches for effectively and compassionately delivering HIV test results. The companion guide provides discussion questions and additional resources to enable viewers of the video to learn more from one another, and to build upon their past experience delivering difficult news to clients.
