Description: This is an intensive two-day course for Michigan Public Health Nurses working in TB Control. It is co-sponsored by Michigan Department of Community Health, ALA of Midland States, and the Northeast RTMCC. Topics include contact investigation, case management, laboratory testing, cohort review, treatment of TB, and field safety. Participants must be registered nurses. Other prerequisites include successful completion of the CDC Interactive Core Curriculum and Michigan TST Instructor status. Upon completion, qualified participants will be certified for a two-year period. Re-certification will be accomplished by completing a written test.
