Course Description
This regional update conference will focus on new developments and pressing issues in TB including: overseas screening, TB cases among immigrants and refugees, XDR-TB, culture monitoring and HIV testing.

Target Audience
Nurses and physicians who care for patients with tuberculosis

Objectives

Upon completion of this course participants will be able to:
• Describe a pandemic
• Describe new recommendations for screening Immigrants and Refugees
• Identify one high risk population
• Describe TB treatment for active disease
• Describe Extensively-Drug Resistant TB ( XDR-TB)
