Medical Consultants Meeting
On April 21-22, 2009, the New Jersey Medical School Global Tuberculosis Institute (GTBI) will hold its third TB Medical Consultants Meeting at the GTBI in Newark, NJ. Attendance is by invitation and particpants are selected by each TB program in the Northeastern Region. The goal of the Meeting is to provide a networking opportunity for TB program medical consultants in the Region, to discuss current and pressing TB issues, and to build capacity for responding to challenging requests for TB medical consultation. In addition to a keynote address, there will be presentations and discussions about use and interpretation of new laboratory technologies, interferon gamma release assays for TB infection, and managing MDR TB-international and domestic experiences. Participants are invited to present their own cases on which they would like feedback from their colleagues and our faculty at GTBI.
