This two day workshop is for health department staff and supervisors/managers who are funded to work full or part-time in a state or local TB program. Through lectures and exercises, it will cover TB control topics of epidemiology and surveillance, application of diagnostic methods, contact investigation, cultural competency, and program evaluation. Aspects of assessing performance in TB control activities will also be covered. A very basic knowledge of TB transmission, diagnosis and treatment is required prior to the course.
