Enrollment is limited to supervisors and managers of TB control program activities. Participants must be familiar with basic concepts about tuberculosis disease and infection, as outlined in the CDC Self-Study Modules on Tuberculosis prior to attendance at this course. This course will not cover fundamental TB concepts nor clinical issues related to TB. Your supervisor will be contacted to attest to your basic TB knowledge, role and responsibilities, and ability to complete all course activities.
This course will be conducted as three, 2-hour sessions occurring over three weeks with recordings to be viewed in advance of those days. In order to apply for this course, participants must be available for all three live dates and must view recorded lectures by the due dates. Course certificates will only be issued if these requirements are fulfilled.
Technical requirements:
- Access to high-speed Internet
- Telephone for participation in live, web-based sessions (February 7, 4, & 22, 2011)
- Computer with speakers or headset to hear the audio for pre-recorded sessions
Registration priority will be given to individuals within the Northeastern Region, including Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Indiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and West Virginia, and the cities of Baltimore, Detroit, New York City, and Philadelphia. Others will be put on a waiting list pending approval of their TB regional training and medical consultation center.
