What We Do
Request
for Signage
 The
Director of Facilities Planning monitors and maintains
University Standard Signage Systems for interior and
exterior implementation in and on University-owned
and operated facilities to ensure consistency and
compliance with University standards.
Interior
and exterior signage is included in the project budget
for building renovations, alterations, and new construction
projects.
For
changes or additions to existing signage or to replace
or create new signage, the requesting school/unit
needs to complete a Request
for Signage Form.
Your
Request for Signage Form should be submitted to the
Director
of Facilities Planning. Exterior signs may only
be requested by Deans, Vice Presidents or Associate
Vice Presidents. Interior signs may be requested by
Deans, Vice Presidents, Associate Vice Presidents,
Department Chairpersons or Directors.
Upon
receipt of the form, the signage order is processed
and determined to be in accordance with University
standards. FP&C will then prepare a Sign Requisition
Package, which is returned to the requesting school/unit
for review and approval.
The
Requisition Package usually includes a Purchase Requisition
Form, a Sign Message Schedule with a Disclaimer/Release
Form, sign specifications, and a floor plan with sign
locations.
Anyone
requesting interior/exterior information signs will
be responsible for coordinating and processing the
required purchase requisition. (
see Requisition Processing Policy 00-01055015:00)
All
requests for installation of interior/exterior signs
should also be coordinated through the Executive
Director.
