Architectural Support provides architectural assistance and project
management services for minor renovations, alterations and construction
projects implemented by the Department of Physical Plant. FP&C
develops architectural design guidelines using a scope of work and
schematic design to attach to the physical plant maintenance work order
request form. These guidelines assist the Department of Physical Plant in
the implementation of the work.
Architectural
Support Services also assists University schools/units
in obtaining architectural/engineering services for
feasibility studies and minor renovation projects
under $24,000. Projects may include space assessments,
minor architectural, engineering and/or code analyses
and review. These projects are initiated by a Request
for Quotation, distributed by FP&C and funded
by the school/unit.
Schools/units
may request Architectural Assistance by submitting
a formal memorandum to the Executive
Director. The memorandum should provide a basic
description of the project and a timeframe in which
the project is needed.
