The UMDNJ-School of Public Health

These are only a few examples of what your gift to the School of Public Health can do.  Public health encompasses an incredible range of community health issues, limited only by your own imagination.

The UMDNJ-School of Public Health, the newest of UMDNJ's eight schools, is the only graduate school of public health in New Jersey. The School offers a wide variety of programs to prepare students for their chosen public health disciplines, and exemplifies the power of collaboration.  Through formal partnerships with other New Jersey academic institutions such as Rutgers, New Jersey Institute of Technology, the Public Health Research Institute, and all other UMDNJ schools, students and faculty benefit from teaching and research expertise in other graduate schools statewide. 

SPH offers concentrations in epidemiology, biostatistics, urban health administration, environmental and occupational health, health education / behavioral science, and health economics and policy. Students earn a master of public health, a doctor of public health or a doctor of philosophy in public health.  More than 400 students are currently enrolled at SPH
