Major Gift Development

The Foundation of UMDNJ seeks a Director of Development to join a growing team of major gift fundraisers for the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and The Child Health Institute of New Jersey.  Reporting to the Vice President for Development of the New Brunswick/Piscataway campus and working closely with administrators, faculty, and volunteers, the Director of Development identifies, cultivates, solicits and stewards individual and corporate major gift prospects.  He/she must work effectively with others and demonstrate a positive attitude, confidence and the courage to take risks.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree and a track record of success in fund raising, public relations or marketing and superior communications skills.

Successful candidate will possess a talent for planning and follow through; will have a track record of success in relationship management; will focus on results; and will demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, commitment to teamwork and flexibility.  Must have an interest in shaping a growing organization.
