Note that the above is a summary of the most recent Essex County Cancer Capacity & Needs Assessment, which was completed at the end of 2004, culminating a multi-year effort, under the statewide scientific leadership of ECCC Director & Founder Dr. Stanley H. Weiss, that resulted in such assessments in each of New Jersey’s 21 counties.  Funding to bring these assessments up to date has not been available.

Prior reports by the Essex County Cancer Coalition (ECCC) leadership team, under the direction of ECCC founder and director Dr. Stanley H. Weiss in his role as former chair of the Evaluation Committee of the statewide Task Force on Cancer Prevention, Early Detection and Treatment in New Jersey:

• December 2006 Status Report to the Governor and Legislature (incorporating editorial changes by the NJDHSS) (PDF, 500KB).
