For all spills, keep in mind
- Don't clean up a spill of any hazardous material unless you have the training and equipment to do so.
- Alert others in the area of the chemical spill.
- If possible, keep the area ventilated.
- If possible, try to contain the spill with absorbent materials until the spill
responders arrive.
- If possible, get a copy of the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) to assist the responder.
- Turn off all ignition and heat sources if possible.
EOHSS is on call 7 days a week, 24 hours a day by calling Public Safety Dispatch at 2-4490.
