Department-specific Disaster Plan (DSDP)
This plan template provides a system to identify what actions will be taken in the event of an emergency or disaster for individual departments at UMDNJ. This plan works in conjunction with the Emergency Operations Plan, Fire Safety and Evacuation Plans, Continuity of Operations (COOP) Plans, and other related plans, policies, and procedures.
While the Department-specific Disaster Plan addresses what action would be taken by the faculty/staff/students/volunteers/ visitors in the individual department, the Campus and University-wide Emergency Operations Plans and the Continuity of Operations plans set forth-fundamental procedures, planning assumptions, a concept of operations, response and recovery actions, and school/unit/department responsibilities.
The individual departments may also have additional responsibilities under the Emergency Operations Plan and/or Continuity of Operations plan; these documents should be consulted to determine the full extent of actions required by the departments.
