CME Information

The Office of Ethics, Compliance and Corporate Integrity (OECCI)  in conjunction with Center for Continuing and Outreach Education (CCOE) will now offer physician Continuing Medical Education Credits (“CME”) for the following three OECCI compliance courses:

  • Professional Compliance (as required by the Corporate Integrity Agreement)
  • Corporate Compliance (as required by the Corporate Integrity Agreement)
  • HIPAA Compliance (as required by Fed Register)

Physicians will have the opportunity to apply for CME upon completion of training for any (or all) of the three aforementioned accredited course(s) taken previously in 2010 and in the future.  To apply for credits from previously completed courses, simply log all the way back into the training course and then log out. While exiting, you will be given the opportunity to apply for CME if you have satisfied the CME requirements.  Further, you will be given the opportunity to apply for CME for courses which you complete in the future.  As decided previously, the cost of the CME application is $25.00 per course which covers 3.0 hours of CME for each course, therefore, if you are applying for CMEs for all three courses, you will be paying $75.00.  Each of the accredited courses offers 3 hours of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) whereby if you are applying for CMEs for all three courses, you will receive 9 hours of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™
