Employee of the Quarter - 3rd Quarter 2007

The Controller’s Office Beneficial Suggestion Committee has selected ARLEEN ABIONAof the Grants Department as the EMPLOYEE OF THE QUARTER for the period of July through September 2007. Here are some of the comments:

“No matter how busy Arleen is, she always makes time to assist with any inquiries and even gets involved in assisting with research, if needed.  In spite of the vast workload and extended hours, Arleen always provides outstanding service to the departments she deals with. I've never heard Arleen complain about how busy she is. Every time I approach her workstation, she’s always surrounded by mountains of paperwork. At times I hesitate to add to her load because it's evident that she's extremely busy. ”

“Arleen is an example for many in the Controller's Office. She has repeatedly shown a willingness to provide outstanding service and continued support to the University family regardless of her workload. Through her efforts, commitment and dedication many pressing issues have been successfully resolved. Every request/inquiry that reaches her desk is attended to and processed in a timely manner and telephone inquiries never go unanswered. She is a true believer of the golden rule and treats everyone with courtesy and respect.”

“Arleen has assisted repeatedly in the review and processing of grants applications often requiring her to work late into the evening hours. She possesses vast knowledge and patience, great assets to the understanding of University processes. Arleen also has a very sensitive and caring heart and it is expressed through many contributions. She's always the first one to offer assistance and/or make a contribution when a call for help goes out on behalf of a fellow co-worker or community project. Arleen is very kind and is always willing to step outside of her comfort zone to help others.”

“Arleen deserves a token of our appreciation for all her hard work and dedication. She has always served the University family expecting nothing extra in return. The University and Grants Department are very fortunate to have such committed and devoted employee.”

CONGRATULATIONS, ARLEEN! Thank You For An Exemplary Commitment To The Controller’s Office!
