STRATFORD - Faculty and students of the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at the UMDNJ-School of Health Related Professions will provide free balance and falls prevention screenings on Thursday, Oct. 22, from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m., in the Academic Center of the UMDNJ campus, on Laurel Road, in Stratford. The screenings are available to anyone who is 50 years or older, and will include a short interview followed by some brief tests of balance. Individuals will receive their results immediately following their tests. If results suggest a need for follow-up care, faculty members from the Physical Therapy Program will provide consultative advice on preventing falls or referrals for additional services.

The Doctor of Physical Therapy Program is jointly sponsored by the UMDNJ-School of Health Related Professions and the Rutgers University Graduate School at Camden.

Advance registration for this program is not required. For more information, please call (856) 566-7185 or email to cohenet@umdnj.edu.
