UMDNJ Celebrates Its Own

Robin Eubanks, PhD, associate professor in interdisciplinary studies at the UMDNJ-School of Health Related Professions, addressed the group, sharing her own experiences over the past quarter century as a faculty member. She said her work here has not simply been a job; it has been a very meaningful career. She emphasized the rewards of teaching people who will in turn teach others. UMDNJ Interim President Denise V. Rodgers, MD, also spoke, pointing out the value of every employee at every level, from housekeeping to public safety to clinical care to management.
The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ)is New Jersey’s only health sciences university with more than 6,000 students on five campuses attending three medical schools, the State’s only dental school, a graduate school of biomedical sciences, a school of health related professions, a school of nursing and New Jersey’s only school of public health. UMDNJ operates University Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center in Newark, and University Behavioral HealthCare, which provides a continuum of health care services with multiple locations throughout the state.
