Update on Storm-related Closings
|
As we prepare to reopen on those campuses, faculty, students and staff are encouraged to implement carpooling with colleagues. Our intent is to help reduce the number of vehicles on the road as the State of New Jersey continues efforts to restore power and tries to return to normal operations over the coming days.
All academic and clinical programs on the Stratford campus resumed at 7 a.m. today, Nov. 1. Robert Wood Johnson Medical School activities in Camden also resumed at 7 a.m. today, Nov. 1, marking the end of the inclement weather event on those two campuses.
The Piscataway campus also remains closed except for clinical activities at University Behavioral HealthCare. UBHC in Newark remains closed.
In addition, inpatient services at University Hospital and inpatient and call-center services of University Behavioral HealthCare remain open.
All UMDNJ emergency services will remain in operation.
SHRP online classes are continuing.
All essential employees must report to work as scheduled, in accordance with University policy. Ambulatory Care Clinic employees are considered essential and should report to work to assist with inpatient hospital operations as assigned.
Anyone with questions should contact their supervisor or department.
For updates, consult the UMDNJ homepage, the Portal at my.umdnj.edu, and the emergency page at emergency.umdnj.edu.
Should you lose electrical power, the following radio stations should include updated news should plans for the scheduled reopening change:
Northern New Jersey: WCBS (880 AM)
Central New Jersey: WCTC (1450 AM)
Southern New Jersey: KYW (1060 AM)
Statewide: WKXW (101.5 FM and 104.9 FM)
Thank you for your cooperation and stay safe.
