UMDNJ Announces Weather-related Closing to Faculty, Students and Staff
|
The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey has declared an inclement weather emergency. All schools and units of UMDNJ, with the exception of inpatient services at University Hospital and inpatient and call-center services of University Behavioral HealthCare, will be closed beginning at 5 a.m. Monday, October 29, and remain closed through at least Tuesday, October 30.
All UMDNJ emergency services will remain in operation.
Outpatient operations of University Hospital and University Behavioral HealthCare will be closed.
All essential employees must report to work or remain at work upon implementation of the closure, in accordance with University policy. Ambulatory Care Clinic employees are considered essential and should report to work to assist with inpatient hospital operations as assigned.
Anyone with questions should contact their supervisor or department.
A decision about whether the University will reopen on Wednesday will be made on Tuesday following an evaluation of the impact of the storm to that point and the outlook for Wednesday. Consult the UMDNJ homepage, the Portal at my.umdnj.edu, the emergency page at emergency.umdnj.edu, and/or the emergency hotline at 888-MY-UMDNJ (888-698-6365) for any update.
