White Coats Greet New Jersey's Next Generation of Physicians and Dentists at UMDNJ

The tradition of the White Coat Ceremony was begun at Columbia University in 1993 by the Arnold P. Gold Foundation, and continues today at medical and dental schools across the country. The ceremony stresses the role of humanism in the practice of health care and reminds the new students that to succeed as physicians and dentists they must first truly care for the individuals who will become their patients.
UMDNJ White Coat ceremonies are scheduled for the following dates, times and locations:
