And Essex County Cancer Coalition, the ECCC

Program Description
The U.M.D.N.J. "S.A.V.E. Women and Men" Program is a lead agency of New Jersey Cancer Education and Early Detection (NJCEED). It brings Education and screening to Essex County residents who do not have medical insurance. In October 2008, the S.A.V.E. Program began operating its new mammography van at community sites in Essex County. Thanks to the support of UMDNJ, the Komen Foundation, and the CEED Program, we can now offer services on a state-of-the-art vehicle with digital equipment and an exam room and changing room on board. The quality of images produced by the new equipment is in every way as good as what is produced in a stationary facility.
