Program Description
This is a 12-credit post-professional
course of study
for clinical laboratory professionals who
hold a baccalaureate degree and are certified
or licensed to practice in
the clinical laboratory sciences in the
U.S. It is designed for practicing professionals
who want to advance their
knowledge and skills in the clinical laboratory
sciences and develop new proficiencies
needed to meet the
challenges of a changing profession and
health care system. The course of study culminates in a Certificate issued by the UMDNJ School of Health Related professions, Dept. of Clinical Laboratory Sciences and the UMDNJ-Center for Advanced and Continuing Education (CACE).
This short course of study provides
an excellent way to determine if online
courses are an effective mode of
learning for the student. In addition,
credits completed in the certificate
course of study can be applied to the
Master of Science in Health Sciences-Clinical
Laboratory Science track if a grade of
B or better is achieved and
the student applies and is accepted into
the graduate program within 3 years of
completion of the Certificate.
