  NJCLAS Implementation Guide
The New Jersey Cultural and Linguistically Appropriate Service Standards (NJCLAS standards) were developed in 2002 by the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services (NJDHSS) in collaboration with the UMDNJ-CCOE-Division of AIDS Education and other HIV service providers, as a New Jersey-specific application of the 2001 proposed national standards of Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) for health care services published by the US Department of Heath and Human Services - Office of Minority Health.  This is a practical guide for improving cultural competency in New Jersey HIV service settings.
