PHYSICIANS:
UMDNJ-Center for Continuing and Outreach Education is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. UMDNJ-Center for Continuing and Outreach Education designates the educational activity for a maximum of 4.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with extent of their participation.
NURSES:
UMDNJ-CCOE is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by NJSNA, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. This activity is awarded 4.75 contact hours. (60 minute CH). Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP 13780.
PHARMACY:
UMDNJ is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a
provider of continuing pharmacy education. This course (ACPE# ) qualifies for 4.75 contact hours of continuing pharmacy credit.
SOCIAL WORK:
This program is approved by the National Association of Social Workers Provider # 886480934 for 4.75 continuing education contact hours.
DENTAL:
The University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey-New Jersey Dental School is an approved course sponsor by the New Jersey State Board of Dentistry. Our courses, which deal with the scientific or clinical practice of dentistry, professional responsibilities, or ethical obligations of the profession, fulfill Board requirements for dentists’ license renewal. Credit hours are granted on an hour-for-hour basis, provided the course is completed as designated. This course is designated for 4.75 credit hours. In addition, the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey is an ADA Continuing Education Recognition Program (ADA CERP) recognized provider. The term of acceptance extends to 12/09. UMDNJ is also an Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) approved national sponsor for Fellowship Mastership credit. The term of acceptance extends to 12/10.
GENERAL CEUs:
UMDNJ-CCOE certifies that this continuing education offering meets the criteria for up to 0.475 Continuing Education Units (CEUs), provided the activity is completed as designed. One CEU equals 10 contact hours of participation in an organized continuing education experience under responsible sponsorship, capable direction, and qualified instruction.

Due to the nominal cost of this program, no refunds will be granted. We encourage you to register early. This will enable us to project enrollment and avoid unnecessary cancellation of the course. In the event that UMDNJ-CCOE feels the necessity to cancel a course, the registrant will receive a full refund or credit towards another UMDNJ Continuing Education Course.
