The Library (1st floor Dorrance) offers quiet study space and computer access.

Collections

The Cooper collection is in the Rowan University online catalog. The default location for this link is set as CMSRU to search for materials at Cooper.

Use the UMDNJ Libraries online catalog to find materials at UMDNJ's Stratford, New Brunswick, and Newark campuses.

Books

  • Books can be checked out for one month with one renewal. You must be a registered library patron to borrow books.
  • The UMDNJ Libraries provide access to over 600 electronic medical textbooks (registered users only).

Journals

  • The UMDNJ Libraries provide access to 4,500+ health science ejournals (registered users only).

Microcomputers

Microcomputers are available at 3 locations in the library.

  • The Microcomputer Center has 23 computers, 2 laser printers, and a color scanner.
  • The Reference area has 8 computers, with a printer.
  • The Circulation area has 9 computers and a printer.

After Hours Access

  

Microcomputer Center: Access is available after regular library hours via your Cooper I.D. badge. Swipe your I.D. badge through the badge reader located by the door adjacent to the Dorrance elevators. You must register for after hours access.

Remote Access

Your Library registration not only allows you to borrow books, but is also provides you with remote access to electronic resources from work and from home.

At the Remote Access Login screen, you will be asked to enter one of the following:

  • your last name and the last four digits of your barcode number or UMDNJ ID number (at the bottom)
  • your UMDNJ CORE/my.UMDNJ username and password (enter on the top)

Note that some names require a special format:

  • Hyphenated name: Drop the hyphen and leave a space.
  • Apostrophe in the name: Drop the apostrophe and leave no space.
  • Common name: Enter first and last name with a space between.
