Boricua/Latino Health Organization
The BLHO is an organization made up of students, providers and consumers of health care services. The principle aim is to
address the inadequacies in health care found within the Latino community. It includes members from all national and cultural
origins. Some of its goals include: academic and social support for members, further development of leadership skills, education
and sensitization of non-Latino students and providers as to the needs of the Latino community, community involvement to help
educate and strengthen the local Latino community. It sponsors many workshops, social events, health fairs and a medical Spanish
course.
