"Mostly Music "

A well-attended, lively and successful event was held on Sunday April 30, 2006 with teenage jazz phenom, Matt Savage.

"Mostly Music" is part of "Bridging the Gap", an innovative outreach program for adolescents and adults with autism spectrum disorders and their parents and family members. The program is designed to entertain families with live musical performances, in an atmosphere of friendship and support. Educational workshops dealing with the challenging life-span issues of autism will be offered during the year.

The program is made possible by a grant from The Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation (www.djfiddlefoundation.org). Press Release Jan 27, 2006.

For further information about "Bridging the Gap", call Madeleine Goldfarb at The Autism Center (973) 972-9422 or email goldfabm@umdnj.edu.

"In Tune with Autism"

Our inaugural spring-time musical fundraiser was held on Monday April 10, 2006 at the Kasser Theater, Montclair State University. Following a wine tasting with Eric Asimov, New York Times chief wine critic, we were entertained by Composer Steven Sacco and The American Brass Quintet in recital.

Our sincere thanks to Steven and Nicoletta Sacco for proposing this very worthwhile event and generously offering their time and talents, and to the organizing committee, led by Madeleine Goldfarb, for a most wonderful evening.
