IST and its customers must be partners in limiting damage caused by e-viruses

University IT staff continues to take appropriate measures to reduce exposure to these security threats including worms and e-viruses. However, all of us MUST exercise extreme vigilance in the handling of email attachments as a matter of standard practice.

Unsolicited or unexpected attachments MUST NOT be opened without verification from the sender. If you have any doubts about the authenticity of the sender or the purpose of the attachment, you are advised to delete it.

Please call the IST Service Center at 3-3200 immediately if you suspect your machine has been infected. If you do not have updated sofware, please contact the IST Service Center at 3-3200 immediately. Thank you.
