Breast Cancer Support Group

The Cancer Institute of New Jersey, in collaboration with Saint Peter's University Hospital and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital sponsors a Breast Cancer Support Group to help improve the education of patients with the disease, provide the opportunity to receive information and to facilitate sharing among survivors. The meetings are held on the first and third Monday of each month from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30p.m. One meeting each month will be an open discussion that is for patients only. The second meeting each month will be focused on a specific topic with invited guest speakers. Patients and support persons may attend these sessions. Central NJ Prostate Network: Empowerment Through Learning

The Central Jersey prostate Network provides education on prostate health issues to men who live in the Middlesex, Somerset, Hunterdon and Morris counties. The Network is a collaborative effort of The Cancer Institute of New Jersey, The American Cancer Society, Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center, Sharing Village, Steeplechase Cancer Center, The Wellness Community and cancer survivors.

Meetings are held quarterly, and are rotated throughout the region. To get information on the next meeting please contact the Social Work Department at 732/235-6792.

Gynecologic Cancer Support Group

The Division of Gynecologic Oncology At The Cancer Institute of New Jersey Invites you to join us for a Gynecologic Cancer Support Group. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month from 7:00pm - 8:30pm in the The Cancer Institute's Women's Center Waiting Room (1st Floor). Contact the Social Work Department at 732/235.6792.

Living with Cancer-Patient and Family Support Group

We invite you to join our support group for cancer patients, family and friends. The goal is to improve education, promote mutual problem solving and facilitate sharing. This support group takes place on the second and forth Wednesdays of each month from 7:00 - 8:30p.m. at The Cancer Institute of New Jersey in the second floor waiting room. The UMDNJ-SPH Tobacco Dependence Clinic

Strength for Caring: A Free Program For Families Caring for A Loved One with Cancer

The Cancer Institute of New Jersey, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and Saint Peter's University Hospital are pleased to announce Strength for Caring, a free program for families caring for a loved one with cancer. Caring for a loved one with cancer may be a family's toughest challenge, but there is help available. The Strength for Caring program provides comprehensive education and support to families, teaching them how to cope with the emotional strain, where to seek outside help, and ways to perform everyday care-giving with greater ease.

The meetings take place on the fourth Tuesday of the month in the CINJ Learning Room, second floor.
Meeting - 7:00p.m. - 8:30p.m.

Support Group for Lesbians with Cancer

We invite you to join our support group for lesbians, bisexual or transgendered women with cancer and their partners. The goal of the group is to improve education, promote mutual problem solving and facilitate sharing. These open discussion meetings take place on the third Monday of the month from 7:00p.m. - 8:30p.m at The Cancer Institute of New Jersey.
