Research interests include a ScientificAesthetic (.com, .org, .net, .info), the program in Dramatic Medicine (.com, .org, .net, .info), Nosocomial Poisoning, Urban Systems, Narrative Medicine, Urban Shamanism, the physiology of aggression, Urban Mysticism, violence as performance, Urban Anthropology, ritualized emotional social catharsis, universal life-force theory, the mythology of performativity, caveats in language translation, art as a mechanical method for framing cultural values, gesticulant morphology, medical verity in artistic adaptation, Deaf aesthetic in an urban setting and Public Health policy in a theatrical historical context. Mr. Boles is also an Editor for The Open Directory project (www.dmoz.org) for Health: Alternative: Resources: Magazines and E-zines.  The Open Directory Project is the primary resource index used by All the Web, Altavista, Gigablast, Google USENET, Google, HotBot, Lycos, Teoma, WiseNut and Yahoo! to return dynamic peer-reviwed web search results.  Hardcore ASL is his new website portal where American Sign Language is taught and evaluated.

He is also your "Technocrat Playwright," and also serves on the faculty of the New Jersey Institute of Technology, the NJIT/Rutgers-Newark Joint Theatre Arts Program and Rutgers University at Newark.  David Boles also teaches and writes on technology as aesthetic, forensic speech, DHTML, American Sign Language, modes of analysis, drama of the body, web forms, directing, Director, lyric poetry, serial communications, close reading and critical analysis, VPN and private tunneling, the Living Theatre, DSL, screenwriting, web animation, writing for television, Flash, radio tech and performance, Afterburner, electronic publishing, theatre history, computers for poets, the art of adaptation, HTML, Willa Cather, Javascript, the regional and international short story, Shockwave, world literature, wireless connectivity, Distance Learning, experimental theatre, Technical Writing, Aristotle and dramatic theory, Windows 95/98/NT/XP, dramaturgy, internetworking and playwriting.

The World Premier of his original Rutgers University at Newark Drama of the Body:  A Performance for the Deaf production took place on December 10, 2002 at High Noon in the Bradley Hall Black Box theatre. 

The World Premier of his original Rutgers-Newark From Page to Stage: Cultures in Conflict performance was produced on April 22, 2003 and his production of From Page to Stage: The World of Us made its World Premier at Rutgers-Newark a year later.

Mr. Boles is Publisher and Editor-in-Chief for GO INSIDE Magazine where, for over 15 fourchy years, 2.5 million monthly readers have rejoiced in the works of new authors and established writers.  He is also the President of the United Stage where the theatre is the everything.  He is the lead investigator for The Scientific Aesthetic Quarterly, a peer-reviewed Journal Where Medicine and the Arts mate to create Healing.  He is also the creator of the program in Dramatic Medicine where education and theatricality wed to teach critical issues in medicine from a humanistic, aesthetic, base. David Boles also serves, or has served, as a faculty member for Fordham University, New York University, The College of New Rochelle, and Saint Peter's College.  His B.A. in English is from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and his M.F.A. in Playwriting is from Columbia University

Mr. Boles was recently the United States East Coast Editor for Eyepiece Magazine:  The Official Publication of the Guild of British Camera Technicians.  Other publication credits include the best selling book Windows 95 Communication and Online Secrets for IDG Books Worldwide, C|NET's BUILDER.COM, Boot Magazine and Windows Magazine.  He also works as a Script Doctor and as a Tech Tutor.  His Private Writing Program is a special training center for professional writers.

David Boles has worked Off-Off-Broadway, Off-Broadway and on Broadway.  His work as a Playwright has been performed internationally and on national tour in 16 states and 27 cities.  The Brooklyn Academy of Art's Next Wave festival marked his New York City debut as a Playwright and be sure to visit Boles Books.
